Botanical Woman

She's at rest, enveloped by the garden. The moon above her.

In this series I explored the beauty of the female form and nature. Simplified forms in a one colour. The choice of monochrome helped me remove the separation between human & landscape. What fascinated me most was painting the swimming figures, the weightless bodies suspended in water & then making the landscape flow around them rhythmically.

Ink works are available as small editions. Each piece is painted individually by hand, so there are no two that are exactly alike.
